Clown Shoes. Rainbows Are Real

Jun 12, 2020 | IPA, Unique Brew

CLOWNS BEING CRAZY AGAIN!

Clown Shoes are known for being a little crazy when it comes to crafting beers, in fact it’s a part of their motto. This Boston brewery certainly lives up to it with their Hazy IPA – Rainbows Are Real. This beer is brewed with terpenes….yep, I had no idea what that was either. It’s a natural compound derived from plants such as conifers. Very aromatic and apparently has therapeutic benefits too! The beer itself has lots of tropical, fruity aromas with a slight piney blast. The taste follows with plenty of juicy citrus and mango notes balancing the slight sweet malt backbone. Not sure whether the terpenes produced any flavor but I certainly had a relaxing time drinking it! A Unique Brew to try.

6.75% ABV   |  Boston, MA

Description from the brewery:

This Hazy IPA contains the terpenes Beta-Pinene and Linalool, aromatic compounds derived from natural botanical sources. They supplement the sweet malt backbone and lively blend of Azacca, Citra, and Mosaic hops that make Rainbows Are Real shine with fresh, juicy notes of sweet citrus.
