Farm Island. Organic IPA
DON’T JUDGE A BREW BY IT’S COVER!
I have to admit, sometimes I quite enjoy downing a few cheapo generic beers. I’m not sure whether it’s to remind myself how masterful craft breweries are in their ever evolving beer creations, or whether it’s just me having a frugal moment. Either way, when I picked up a six pack of Farm Island Organic IPA from Trader Joe’s, I wasn’t expecting much. Having little luck in finding anything out about Farm Island Brewing, I assumed it was a contract brew. Little did I know, this well rounded beer is actually really good!
Pouring a hazy gold the aromas fill the glass with beautifully pungent grassy citrus and tangerine, grapefruit and melon. The taste follows with a zappy bitterness, pithy grapefruit, backed up with a subtle malt sweetness. It is smooth and easy drinking. Well balanced and crushable. With plenty of flavor and character to leave you wanting another without numbing your tastebuds with dank resin. A Solid Pick, great value and organic…..so it’s good for you!

SURFS UP DUDE! I'm not a big fan of coconut in beer. I never quite came across one that I thought was that great. But when I saw Hoboken Brewing Company's Bodi Blonde I knew I had to try it. Firstly, with the warm weather hitting the North East, a nice refreshing...
