Westbrook. Zoose Joose

Jan 30, 2021 | Fruit & Veg, Sours

It’s no doubt sour beers are a great style for layering in fruit flavors. A lot of breweries do a good job playing around with this format and then you come across a beer that exceeds expectations….like Westbrook Brewing’s collaboration with Angry Chair Brewing. Zoose Joose is an ambrosia inspired sour wheat and wow, it serves up really well!

It pours a dark jolly rancher red and subtly emits a sweet candy aroma with cherry and apple. The taste brings in more fruit starting with a citrus tangerine followed by more cherry, pineapple and sour apple. The biggest delight is the smooth creamy mouthfeel of sweet fluffy marshmallow. It’s a wonderfully delicate, balanced and creative craft beer. A fruity, candy dessert in a can.
